Local. Family Owned. Woman Owned. Built on Experience.
Against the Grain Floors is a locally owned, family owned, and woman owned flooring and remodeling company serving Tulsa and the surrounding communities.
While the Against the Grain name may be new, the experience behind it isn’t.
Our company was built after years of working in the flooring, remodeling, and restoration industry. We took the experience, relationships, craftsmen, and knowledge built over those years and created something of our own, with a fresh start and a clear vision for how we believe customers should be treated.
As a local family business, we understand that your home is more than another job on a schedule. It’s where your family lives, grows, and makes memories. We want our customers to feel comfortable with the people working in their homes, understand what’s happening throughout their project, and know they have a team they can reach when they have questions.

Why “Against the Grain”?
The name isn’t just about flooring. It represents how we want to do business. We’re willing to go against the grain of what people have come to expect from contractors.
We believe in answering the phone. Communicating when something changes. Being upfront about costs and expectations. Paying attention to the details. Standing behind our work. And treating someone’s home with the same care we’d expect in our own.
We’re also proud to be a woman owned company in an industry that has traditionally been male dominated. We believe a different perspective, combined with years of industry knowledge and an experienced team in the field, is one of our greatest strengths.

Floors, Kitchens, Baths & More
Flooring is where our roots are, but we can handle much more than what’s under your feet.
Our services include hardwood installation and refinishing, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, carpet, and tile, as well as kitchen and bathroom remodeling, custom showers, backsplashes, countertops, cabinetry, stairs, painting, drywall, and restoration related projects.
That means our customers can work with one trusted company for multiple parts of their project instead of trying to coordinate several different contractors.

Experience You Can Trust
Against the Grain Floors may be a growing company, but we’re not new to this industry. Our team brings years of experience in flooring, remodeling, restoration, estimating, project management, installation, and working with homeowners, builders, designers, and insurance-related projects.
We’re proud of the team we’ve built and the relationships we’ve developed with craftsmen, suppliers, contractors, and customers throughout the Tulsa area.
Most importantly, we’re building a company we want our family to be proud of.
Our goal isn’t to be the biggest contractor in town. It’s to build a company known for doing great work, treating people well, and creating customers who feel confident recommending us to their friends and family.
Because to us, that’s what being a local, family-owned business is all about.
